Splurge or Save?
Lets pretend you have a date tonight. You want to try out some new products so you look absolutely amazing, but you’re on a budget.
What’s worth the extra money and what can you skimp on?
This is a tricky one. You can save. However, if you don’t get the right foundation for your skin type or even worse, the right shade, you’ll be wishing you didn’t wear any in the first place. To be safe, I’m going to say splurge.
Splurge. Again, very much like foundation, you are better off spending a little more money on this product. The last thing anyone wants is to look older and more wrinkled. Buying the wrong type of concealer for your under-eye will do you no favors, trust me.
I definitely think you can save on this product. I have come across plenty of good blushes at the drugstore! Some of my favorites are from the brands, NYX and Milani. Also, Wet n Wild has really stepped up their game. Definitely worth trying.
Powder can be your worst enemy. If you aren’t careful, powder can bring out all the imperfections. Splurge and get a better quality, more expensive one. Truthfully, I’m still on the hunt for my favorite setting powder. If you have any recommendations, let me know down below!
You can absolutely save some money with these products. Even though I do love some of my more expensive highlighting powders, Wet N Wild has incredible highlights out there. Since you’re not covering your entire face with it, you can get away with purchasing a more affordable brand.
Nothing is worse than buying an eyeshadow that looks pretty in the packaging but has terrible pigmentation and has major fall out. Go and splurge on some pretty shadows.
100% save your money on this one. Maybelline carries a fantastic gel liner and liquid liner and L’Oreal has great pencils. You are covered in this category.
Don’t get me wrong, some of these higher end mascaras work great, however I will never turn my back on L’Oreal’s Voluminous mascara. It’s been a staple of mine for years now. 14+ years! Save that money and put it towards something else.
Save, save, save! If you’re anything like me, I lose these products ALL THE TIME. It’s so frustrating! I’ve chosen to go the cheaper route not only because I misplace them so often, but also because these affordable makeup companies have come out with great colors and formulas!
Hopefully this gives you a better idea of what to get and where to go before you start spending your money.
