The Ultimate Third Trimester Checklist
Dress: Pink Blush
Is it time to start stressing, or what? I think I told you all in my last post.. I have this on going To-Do list that feels like it’s NEVER ENDING. It’s wild. It’s very similar to how I felt before our wedding.
You know, when you have a million things you’ve left undone until you realize time is passing much faster than you expected?!
So here I am, 33 weeks tomorrow needing to make a nice dent into this checklist! Hey, at least I have a checklist written out, right?
Get That Nursery Readyweheartit.com
Realistically, is your baby going to be in there right away? No, however there is no way you’re going to want to build their nursery once they’ve arrived. Get it done in advance. I think this helps build the excitement as well.
You’ll want to do this at least 4 weeks before your due date and if you’re like me and have no idea what you’re doing.. You can call your local fire stations/highway patrols. Some of them are certified to check for correct installation.
Pre-Register At The Hospitalgiphy.com
I was told I needed to do this 60 days out and what do you know, I’m behind. I guess the reason behind this is that it makes life a lot easier and saves a ton of time the day you arrive. Lets be honest, are you going to want to fill out paperwork while you’re experiencing contractions?
Find A Pediatrician giphy.com
Set up an appointment and meet the Doctor! You’ll want to ask a slew of questions before taking your loved one in. Try and get recommendations from friends or even Yelp.
Order A Breast Pump
Most insurance companies will cover one breast pump, so make sure to give them a call for instructions. From what I’ve heard, they don’t usually come with all the accessories so you may need extra time to figure things out. Amazon seems to have great prices on the many additional items you’ll want.
Start Buying Necessities
You may want to refrain from buying in bulk right away in case the baby throws an allergy and/or has sensitive skin. Instead, buy smaller quantities of diapers and wipes until you know what works for them. Just make sure you have some before you come home from the hospital!
Take Maternity Photos
This is such a special time. You’ll want to show these to your babies one day. Take an afternoon and get yourself all dolled up. While you’re taking them, talk to your photographer about setting up possible newborn photos.
Pack Your Hospital Bag
This is another task you’ll want to finish around the time you install your carseats! You never know when your sweet little angel will decide to come into this world. It seems much less stressful to be prepared ahead of time. FYI, I’ll be posting my own Hospital Bag Necessities in a future blog post!
Take A Baby-Moon
Enjoy one last getaway before the baby comes! We are taking a weekend getaway, however some people go on week long vacations! We somewhat procrastinated on this one. If you’re looking for something longer, I suggest you get on it during your 2nd Trimester!
Consider Some Pre-Made Dinners
Who wants to cook a meal after they’ve just given birth? Not me, thats for sure. I’ve started a Pinterest board with ideas. Whether I make them ahead of time or I ask some of family members to join in on the fun, freezing these will make this house a Hangry-Free zone!
Enjoy a Spa Day
Set up Childcare/Pet Care During Your Hospital Stay
Write Out Birth Plan
Finish Up Baby Classes
Start Washing Clothes/Bedding
