Showering Baby Brooke
Let me first apologize for my absence! Its been one busy month over here. Between regular work and the anticipation of my shower, I’ve been completely overwhelmed! As you all know, I’m due in June (which is coming up REALLY quick, by the way) and my work schedule has been the busiest it’s ever been. Maybe it’s because my clients know I’ll be going on hiatus soon? I’m not exactly sure. However, because I’m what you call, a “yes man”, I have been going and going AND GOING. Hence, I’ve been somewhat absent within my blog.
So what’s new?
Well this month we showered my beautiful baby girl!
My shower was exactly how I envisioned it! I hoped for a very girly shower. Filled with the color pink and pearls, it ended up turning out absolutely perfect. My cousin (who just so happens to run my blog) and my aunt created one beautiful day for us. So beautiful that I had to share it with you all!
So obviously I wasn’t partaking in the Champagne but my cousin made me a special Virgin Mimosa that was out of this world! I HIGHLY recommend it if you want a special nonalcoholic treat!
We had to include photos of us as babies! As you can tell from this photo, I have always been obsessed with beauty. Sponge curlers in my hair and applying lipstick was just another typical day in my life.
Oh the food was SO GOOD and I’m not just saying that because I’m pregnant! Ha! Want to know what was on our menu?
French Toast Casserole
Homemade Whipped Cream
Lemon Cake with Cherry Filling
I’m still dreaming about this brunch. Everything tasted so delicious!
We were so blessed with beautiful gifts from our friends and family. I’m still working on putting everything away! Waiting for those “nesting” vibes to come my way!
Now that my shower has passed, it’s crunch time! I still have a million things to do and wondering when I’m going to have the time to complete them!
Anyone interested in my Third Trimester To Do List?
Let me know down below if you’d like to see that within a future blog post!
Until then, I’d love to know about your baby showers! Were you just as excited and overwhelmed as I was? Also, I’d love to know when you stopped working! How much time did you give yourself before your sweet bundle of joy made their big arrival?
