Hello Third Trimester..
I have not been looking forward to you.
Please be good to me.
You guys, I can’t even believe it. How am I already in my Third Trimester? I feel like it was just yesterday I was announcing my pregnancy to you all and now here I am counting down the weeks til she arrives.
Truth be told, I am so nervous. I’m behind or so they say. Apparently I should have already enrolled in classes, picked out a pediatrician, and have already been considering a birth plan.
Want to know what I have done?
I’ve sat here and panicked thinking about everything on my to-do list. I swear, everyday something new is added to this forever long list.
So let me give you a BUMPDATE!
How far along? 29 weeks! 7.5 Months! WHAT?!
How big is the baby? Well at 27 weeks she was 2.5 lbs. Apparently that’s a little on the larger size so now I’m convinced I’m going to have a 10lbs baby. Help me. Oh and they told me she was tall! I’m 5’2 so that must be coming from my husband. Ha!
Total Weight Gained? To be completely honest, I don’t know. I told my Dr. I didn’t want to know my weight unless it started to become a problem. I’m strange like that. Can anyone else relate?
Maternity Clothes? 100% YES. Who can actually fit in their regular clothes at this point?! If you can, don’t even talk to me.. HAHA. I tried to put on an old pair of shorts the other day (non-maternity) and I couldn’t even get them over my hips. It was a sad moment.
Sleep? Ugh. Not fabulous, I’ll tell you that. It’s been a challenge. Whether its my sciatica (which I’ll get into more when we talk about symptoms..) or just the paranoia of waking up on my back, sleep is a thing of the past… and YES I KNOW, I’ll be getting a lot less of it when she’s born.
New Food Cravings? Nothing new, other than I’m definitely more hungry. As for my cravings in general.. I crave meat and cheese.
Do I Miss Anything? Lots of caffeine: Red Bull, unlimited coffee, coke zero, you name it. I had a serious caffeine addiction pre-pregnancy so it’s been a challenge. OH and how can I forget, Spicy Tuna rolls. I swear, I dream about them.
Symptoms? Sciatica. Heartburn/Reflux. Leg aches. Hip pain. To all you pregnant mamas, so much to look forward to, right? Haha. It isn’t that bad. The sciatica flares up when I workout, go figure. Is that God’s way of telling me not to work out?! 🙂 What I’m more terrified about? Getting tired again! That First Trimester wiped me out. I was exhausted 24 hours a day. I’m praying I don’t feel that again!! Which is why I have dreaded this third trimester like it was the flu.
What’s New? Well this big belly! I popped BIG TIME at 6-ish months. For the first time I had a hard time putting on my wedges. I had to have my husband help me. Want to know another time it gets in the way? When I’m at my kitchen counter! You can catch me awkwardly standing trying to wash my hands.
