The holidays feel like they just passed and here we are thinking about MORE gift ideas for our loved ones?! Where did the month of January go?? Anyone else wish their wallet came with free refills?!
Last week I gave you all some Valentines Day Ideas for Him. This week I wanted to focus more on suggesting some affordable yet easy ideas that way our stress levels have the chance to calm down a bit.
Lets get to it.
DINNER AT HOME
Lets face it- going out to dinner on Valentines Day is usually a nightmare anyways. It’s nearly impossible to get a reservation unless you book it early enough and everything seems to be more expensive the night of. Why not make a dinner at home for you and your valentine?! My go-to is Pinterest when it comes time to finding a good, new recipe. Check out some recipes I have pinned from my Pinterest board HERE.
“I LOVE YOU…” LIST
My husband and I did this for each other a couple years ago and it was one of the most meaningful gifts we’ve ever given each other. It may sounds cheesy but honestly it’s the best thing to look back upon when I’m having a bad day. Want to step it up a notch? Make sure to frame it.
You know all those photos that are taking up space on your phone?! They can easily be printed in an hour off the Walgreens APP! Whether you have time to make a fancy photobook or not, print your best photos of you and your Valentine and put them together to show off your most favorite memories.
This gift basket may look expensive but doesn’t have to be. Get a basket from Michaels Craft Store and fill it with your Valentine’s favorite things. Are you drawing a blank? Here are some ideas on what to fill their basket with: Their favorite candy, bottle of wine, mini bottle of alcohol, lotto tickets, favorite snacks, coffee mug, deck of cards, socks, gum, key chain, phone case, and chapstick.
Nothing says I love you more than baking them their favorite sweet treat. My husband loves anything cheesecake so I typically find myself looking up the best cheesecake recipes I can find on Pinterest. Here is one I found that was a total hit in my household, Strawberry Cheesecake Poke Cake.
SURPRISE AT WORK
Now not all of us like getting flowers at work.. Crazy, I know!? 🙂 Surprisingly, there are a lot of unique delivery services that will deliver your valentine something special to their job. Here in Los Angeles I have found a cookie delivery, balloon delivery, and fruit delivery. Can’t find any of that where you’re located? Deliver something yourself, besides I’m sure seeing your face unexpectedly will be the best surprise yet.
Now what if those mushy ideas just aren’t your thing?
Check out last weeks post HERE. There you find a couple affordable gift ideas they will be sure to love.
